And I’m Back!!!!

To my dear followers, my sincere apologies for not posting for a very long time. I do have a good reason that is actually travel related.

My life has literally gone to the dogs (and cats). I started a pet care business called Jeanette’s Happy Pets. Business has been growing and keeping me very busy.

I can truly say I have never been happier! I have great clients and wonderful pets that I love spending time with. I enjoy loving on other people’s pets and getting outdoors. A side bonus is that I have lost 28 pounds from all the dog walking!!!

People are traveling again, so business has been very good for this new venture. I have done almost no advertising other than handing out business cards thanks to my former dog walker and another pet sitter who moved that have been referring customers to me.

My business is a mix of pleasure and business travelers as well as a couple of daily dog walks. I do a hybrid mix of boarding in my home, daily dog walks and overnight stays in client homes. I get to choose my clients and pets which gave me great flexibility to spend time with my Sheltie Dougie MacLean who was diagnosed with bladder cancer at the end of the summer. Sadly, he passed away in December 2022. I cherish the extra time that ny business allowed me to I spend with him. He was the best dog and I miss him so much.

Now that the holidays are over, I should be able to resume posting again about my travels. We had a great trip to Maine in October 2022 which I look forward to sharing with you.

If you live in North Pinellas County or the very western most part of Hillsbough County and need a reliable pet sitter, send me a message. I will be creating a Facebook business page in the next month or so.

Sharing a photo of my Sheltie as well as a few photos of some of the cute pets I have the privilege of caring for…..

About J. Matlock, Director of Fantasies

Jeanette's wanderlust started as an Air Force brat crisscrossing the US visiting almost every state. Writing has always been a part of her life. While earning a BA in Journalism from the University of Central Florida, Jeanette found photography was the perfect compliment to writing. She is always on the outlook for what she calls "Right Time, Right Place" photographs that capture a once-in-a- lifetime moment. Her adult travels have taken her to Scotland, England, France, Switzerland and all over the US and she continues to crave going to places to experience adventure, great food and lifestyles. She has written travel journals for the web site IGOUGO.com to share her experiences to guide and encourage other travelers. Her descriptive writing style makes one feel as if they are there sharing the experience. Her love of writing is based on this simple truth: "When I am writing, I know that I am doing the thing I was born to do." (Anne Sexton).
